Yesterday our home study was mailed to DCFS (Department of child and family services). In Illinois, adoptive parents need to be endorsed by DCFS.
Once we receive their endorsement letter, the home study will then be mailed to USCIS for INS approval.
The home study is a big part of our paperwork to get Evangeline home.
