More help needed!

One of the biggest blessings of having a child with Down syndrome is the incredible community we were instantly ushered into. I've made countless friends, both on-line and in real life, other families who walk our road, who share our struggles and revel just as much in our kids progress and potential. These friendships are deep and wide, like a river. My life is personally much fuller knowing these people and it's a treasured club to participate in.

And now we belong to another club; families who adopt. And it's proving quickly to be just as tight of a group. Many of us are in process of adopting, some close enough to travel, starting and finishing the home study piece, others actually holding their children in their arms today. I am gaining strength and momentum from these parents and count it a privilege to walk this incredibly, God-given journey with them.

Last week Dasha's mother made their family's urgent need known and like a ripple, so many folks found out about the need and responded. Dasha will be coming home. Thank God for community.

Today, Mattea Olena's family also have a need for more funding in the next two weeks in order to bring their daughter home.

Click over to their blog or to their Reese's Rainbow page to find out more information and please consider helping. No donation is too small. Every little bit helps.

Mattea Olena is a child close to the age of being institutionalized and she has a significant heart defect. She needs immediate health care and she needs to get home to her family who loves her so much.

Help them out, join in the river of the adoption journey in a tangible, life changing way.

I promise you.

It's so refreshing.
