A lot can happen in a few days.
Tuesday morning our social worker came to the house for our final visit. We baby-proofed and cleaned and decluttered and she looked through each room and asked a total of five questions and that was it. It was all over in about a half hour. I was happy, though. We got to a lot of projects on my forever list and we are that much closer to finishing the home study!
We've heard that Evangeline received a few presents to celebrate the season. Hear say is that she loved the musical toy with lights! I am sitting here dreaming of next year, of her stocking now put away bulging with new little wonders and just having her with us.

Happy New Year everyone. I think this is going to be an important year for us that will cause us all in the Marchenko house to grow and stretch, to look more to God for help; to be more thankful and to be, simply put, more.
